Surgical and living expenses for Brianne Farr

Brianne Farr is a 28 year old from Monroe, GA. She has been an active member of the dog sports community for the past 20+ years, competing since she was a child in obedience, rally, agility and other sports. She is the sole owner and operator of her pet and dog sports training business, Aurora Dog Training.
She was diagnosed in October of 2023 with a grade 3 Acoustic Neuroma also known as a Vestibular Schwannoma. This is a tumor originating in the inner ear, located on the vestibular nerve (balance nerve) and growing and intruding out into the cerebellum.
This tumor has been causing many problems for Brianne such as severe tinnitus/thumping sensations, spells of vertigo and balance issues, headaches, migraines, and nausea. This has greatly affected her ability to live her life, work her usual schedule, and maintain the level of activity that she is accustomed to.
She will be having surgery to remove this tumor in March of 2024, directly following the AKC National Agility Championship, which she and her dog, Aurora, worked extremely hard to qualify for. They will be competing at the 2024 AKC NAC as their final event before Brianne’s surgery.
Brianne will be unable to work for approximately 4-6 weeks post surgery, and could potentially be out of work longer, pending any complications. The surgery, while it will be partially covered by insurance, will likely be over $10,000 out of pocket.
We are requesting assistance in advance to be able to offset the costs of the procedure and be able to afford necessities during her recovery time.
