Rebuild Nepal: Suri Primary School
Donation protected
Suri primary elementary school in the Dolakha region of Nepal was destroyed during the 2015 earthquakes. Over 100 students in the area used to come to this school to receive primary education. Now, five teachers lead class in a wooden shack close by. In the last 1.5 years, we were able to fundraise $12,000 to build an earthquake-proof school for the youngsters of Suri. However, the project is not complete as we need additional funds to install windows, doors and floors, and pay the laborers. Additional $5000 are needed to make the school usable. The additional $3000 will be used for construction of safe recreational grounds for the children. This includes leveling the ground and purchasing the necessary equipment.
