Surprise Jim Zim with a motor wheelchair

Hi, my name is Emily Zimmerman and I am the daughter of Jim Zimmerman. Many of you know that my dad, Jim, sustained a spinal cord injury in 2011- a year after my mom unexpectedly passed away. He is now considered a parapalegic with limited walking and an unstable gait. If you know my dad, he cannot mentally sit still even with his disability. He has always been a big advocate of the outdoors, wildlife conservation, hunting and fishing. Right now he only uses a manual wheelchair to get around for long distances, and it’s hard for him to maneuver this in the outdoors that he loves so much. We have looked into his medical insurance to get him an outdoor motor scooter, but they denied coverage and all terrain wheelchairs are pretty expensive. I would love to surprise him with a new all terrain outdoor wheelchair in which we can enjoy increased mobility and his passion for being outside. He is in immense pain each day with the after effects of his injury and something like this could bring him some joy, in which he continues to care and love so many of us.
