First giving honor to God for his mercy and for keeping our famies safe and out of harms way. My name is Cheryl Parris and on Sunday April 24,2022 we noticed a cloud of orange and black smoke outside of our dining room window. At that point we realized the house next to us was on fire. Immediately we then heard fire engines approaching while we worked on a exiting our home. It was an ordeal due to my medical condition and mobility. My daughter was wisked away by fireman with our two dogs. Unfortunately i wasn't able to exit the home but was kept under close watch by fireman. Unbeknownst to us at the time inside of the burning home was our autistic neighbor who tragically lost his life along with one NYC Bravest a selfless and beloved NYPD firefighter Timothy Klein. Our prayers go out to both families and others that were injured on the said day. Although we are only neighbors, the tragic fire impacted my family with displacement due a lost of utilities for safety reasons and the abundance of smoke. The RED CROSS assisited us for two days after which we had to maintain any occurrences out of our pockets hotel, food etc. I find myself at the mercy of others to help keep my family safe and under one roof until we return home. Any assistance will a Blessing and greatly appreciated beyond words. Thank you
