Surviving CVS episodes

Hello, Mendi here at the Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami. Bella has had an episode and we have been here for 4 days now. Life still goes on outside of these walls and I must take care of myself to be here when she's better... I've raised a 4.5 graduate who's enrolled in college and needed very little help. I cannot do everything and the anxiety will eat you alive if you let it. If you need help, ask for it. This is me asking for help. Very difficult time and thing to do. There's nothing I won't do for her. Grateful to be by her side.
I added a bit about Bellas illness... Her episodes are random and severe. We have managed multiple months without symptoms in the current medications. This just happened out of no where.
Cyclic vomiting syndrome, or CVS, is a disorder that causes sudden, repeated attacks—called episodes—of severe nausea and vomiting. Episodes can last from a few hours to several days. Episodes alternate with longer periods of no symptoms.
This is where we are until the episode finishes. My dog is with a trusted friend. The cats and birds are taken care of.. Gotta keep movingand stay positive...
