Surviving Eviction... We Need Your Help.
Donation protected
I have been living since September 2021 without income and seeking your help. My family's funds are not enough to cover our late rent. We fell behind earlier this year and have not caught up. While I have been working with SS for disability, it will be a few weeks before even that could help out. My fiance and grown son were out of work for a while but now have steady jobs for the last three months.
We will be evicted next month unless I can come up with my back rent. Anything you can help with will be given to my landlord to prevent eviction. If we can catch up on the rent owed by our trial date (August 10th, 2022), our landlord will allow us to remain here, but it's just too much for us to make in that amount of time with no savings left and not much coming in either, nor do we have enough to try to pay deposits and all that is required for a new place.
We have tried getting assistance in other ways through the programs set up to help in these situations. Still, several have told us that they couldn't do anything since we've already received the eviction notice and the others we've found will not be able to assist fast enough to save our home. One program approved us for three months of help, but they ran out of funding before they helped us. We are humbly asking for some help to be able to pay our landlord enough that he will allow us to remain where we are because otherwise, our family will have nowhere else to go. Thank you so much for anything you do; even one dollar makes a difference in the long run. If you can't do that, sharing this page anywhere will be a fantastic help. I love all of you and appreciate you more than you know. We thank you for even taking the time to read this campaign; we know it's difficult times for everyone right now.
Thank you,
