Surviving Stage 4 Kidney Cancer - Chief Oniya

Dear Family and Friends, I am truly grateful for all of the emotional support during these times of worry and uncertainty. All we can do is stay optimistic and prayerful. These last few weeks have really opened up my eyes and showed me that I am not alone in this battle against stage 4 kidney cancer and my support system is much larger than I expected. Never in a million years would I have thought I would be creating something like this. I have a very rare kidney cancer (Chromothobe type renal cell carcinoma ), maybe only 100 cases per year. It is very advanced, has spread to all my major organs and the doctors has given me a limited, weeks at most, timeframe left to live. There is no cure for this type and stage of cancer. There is only an oral medication that I can take to help possibly slow down the cancer. This medication is extremely expensive along with the additional amount of care I now need and being unable to work.
