Help a Survivor of Assault

I am seeking support to help cover my housing, medical and mental health expenses.

After experiencing assault, I was left with physical and emotional injuries that required me to take a disability leave from work. This leave, necessary for my recovery, resulted in a loss of income, as I was unable to fulfill my professional responsibilities during that time.

I am a survivor of an unimaginable trauma—a victim of a serial rapist who left lasting scars not only on my body but also on my mind. What many people don’t realize is that survival doesn’t stop after the attack ends; the aftermath is just as brutal, often leaving survivors to navigate a path of physical recovery, emotional healing, and financial hardship.

Yet, the reality is that survivors like me are often left with few resources to cover these essential expenses. Many of us face mounting medical bills while simultaneously battling the mental health consequences of trauma. The financial strain is compounded by the emotional toll of feeling unheard, unsupported, and invisible in a system that often fails to recognize our need for comprehensive care.
