Susan Benton NEEDS YOU as she fights BRAIN CANCER
Donation protected
About a month ago, Susan was having severe headaches, memory and vision issues. These symptoms escalated quickly so she reached out to her doctor which resulted in tests and a hospital stay at Vanderbilt. After several tests, she heard the scary news, "You have a brain tumor". Surgery should be scheduled soon. In just a few short days, Susan's world as she knew it, was turned upside down.
During surgery, they carefully removed most of the tumor, trying not to affect her ability to speak or her memory. Susan's cognition and speech were moderately impaired so next came therapy. Throughout the week anxiety grew while waiting for lab results about the tumor.`
Then devastating news arrived, malignant brain cancer, our worst fear.
Susan will undergo weeks of radiation administered 5 days a week along with a weekly chemo treatment. Amazingly, Susan has kept her spirits high. She is courageously resolute to beat this cruel disease, facing it head on with positivity and strength, calling upon her unending faith in the Lord.
As most of you know, Susan lives alone in Nashville. Both her parents are deceased, her sister, brother and extended family live out of town, all of which come to assist Susan as schedules allow. Her best friend in Nashville, Missie, is with her as often as possible. Between therapy, surgery and cancer treatments, Susan will be unable to work for months.
Susan's laughter, positive spirit and love for the Lord are her greatest traits. She is the person you can count on when you need help. Her creativity, energy and smile is transformative as I am sure many of you have experienced. She goes above and beyond what is expected of her as a friend, a neighbor, an employee or as a family member.
Susan jumps at the opportunity to lend a hand with tasks others find daunting. She makes sure jobs are completed and done right at work. Susan eagerly supports neighbors, friends or loved ones in need and she also happily brings a lot of life to a party! Susan is one you can always count on.
Now Susan needs our help to reduce her financial stress, to ease the burden of medical expenses and ongoing life expenses while she focuses her energy on recovery.
Please contribute generously and share this link with others that might want to help Susan. No amount is too small, your generosity is greatly appreciated. Your contribution will provide support for her ongoing medical and living expenses that are occurring daily while Susan battles this disease.
