On January 16th Susan’s life was forever changed. Susie was traveling on the Long Island Expressway when her car hit the center median, overturned and burst into flames trapping her inside. https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/video/good-samaritans-save-woman-after-fiery-crash-on-long-island/

Despite the the selfless acts of the kind strangers who rushed in to flip the burning car over and pull her out, she suffered multiple life threatening injuries including burns to over 40% of her body, a broken femur, and shattered foot and heel.

Susie remains in critical condition and her expected time for recovery is a year or more. She will require several additional surgeries, rehabilitation and many other challenges along the way to recovery.

We are not sure what new challenges each day will bring for Susie. We know she is a fighter and she will not give in easily.

We are are raising money to help pay for her unpaid medical expenses, extended long term care, special medical devices, and other expenses related to her treatment both short and long term.
