Memorial for Susan Mayo

My name is Hannah and I'm fundraising to cover memorial costs for my beloved mother, Susan Mayo. After a bad brain bleed, she passed away peacefully with support on October 8th, 2023.

As friends close to her have known, Sue has been having a really rough time for the past 10 years. Whether it was emotional health after my fathers suicide in 2013, or being diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis in 2020, it has been quite a roller coaster.

This morning, I discovered that the life insurance policy to cover funeral expenses lapsed in 2021. I am currently borrowing money from relatives to cover the cremation costs, which already adds up to over 4k without a special urn. My goal is to get money to pay them back, and hopefully hold a small memorial service in her honor.

Sue was generous, caring and loving. Throughout the years she has always lended a hand to friends of mine expirencing homelessness, or bad home lives. She always took care of any cat she found in need. She was a jokester, damn good stromboli maker and always found the best deals thrifting.

All of her customers at Giant in Lionville adored her. She was the master at the self checkout for 12 years.

She deserves the best, and I just need help making sure that she is remembered. Anything will help. Thank you for reading.
