Susan McQuade Evans (AKA Mrs. Evans)

Susan and James  worked  tirelessly  as educators taking on extra work, selling their prep, and teaching summer school  to ensure they would be able to enjoy retirement.  Less than a year before retirement became a reality, Susan was diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain cancer),  and the retirement plans of travelling and time at the beach were diminished to trips between Las Vegas and UCLA Medical Center for Susan to be treated. She has undergone multiple surgeries to remove and treat the brain tumors for the past two years. 

It is with sadness that the family has been advised to move our friend to home hospice. Talking to James today, he shared that he just mailed off 11 envelopes of checks to various medical entities. 

I set up this fund to support the family in covering the costs for the home hospice expenses.
 
At times  like this, we all want to help and be supportive, but there's only so many flowers and restaurant gift certificates a person can have. Donating to this fund will support the Evans family in a way that will hopefully alleviate the added pain of  costly bills on top of what they are going through.

Susan gave everything as an educator at Estes McDoniel and Thurman White in  the Clark County School District. Please consider supporting the family during this sad time.
