Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible."
Hi Everyone,
Hi Everyone,
This is Jessica Paulson Bucher. I am writing on behalf of my wonderful, beloved, industrious mother, Susan Paulson, who is fighting for her life.
Something's Not Right.
October 2021Susan began having difficulty swallowing. A checkup showed no abnormalities.
As the weeks went by, eating and drinking became increasingly more difficult until she could barely hold down a half a cup of food a day.
Again she went in for another test, and the results were inconclusive, possibly esophageal cancer?
Something's wrong.
By January, Sue had lost 45#s.
Finally, a scope revealed cancer but not sure where as they mistakenly didn't put her all the way under, which resulted in bleeding due to thrashing, which consequently confused the result. This, of course, required a repeat test. And another agonizing week-long wait.
By this time, Susan had to work most of the night just to get down a small bottle of water one tsp at a time. Food was an impossibility as it immediately came back up.
Susan lost more weight, and weakness set in. Emergency trips to the hospital to rehydrate were short-lived and without answers.
Something's Really Wrong.
This charismatic, passionate, beautiful Bible teacher... & friend, my mother, who has touched so many lives, received a diagnosis the whole world fears. Not esophageal as first suspected but stage 3 inoperable stomach cancer.
Finally admitted to the hospital, now the goal became threefold:
•Pray and believe for the miracle.
•Get nutrition & hydration.
•Find holistic care
Each day became increasingly frightening for family and friends even though Susan was full of the kind of faith that saints are made of.
Her potassium levels were too low to put in a feeding tube.
Due to covid, the part needed to attach the tube was back-ordered for five excruciating days.
When it finally arrived, her body rejected the formula...etc. etc.
No Room In The Inn
Now we find her in the precarious position of finding a place to go to stabilize before medical intervention can start.
Having exhausted every possible avenue of transitional care facilities in our area, the only options open do not take Medicare.
The Power To Make A Difference
With trepidation and a broken heart, we ask for help from our community.
We need your prayers.
We need to raise $225,000.00
Would you consider making a contribution? Even the smallest donation can help.
Thank you from my whole heart.
Sincerely,
Jessica
