Susannah's home destroyed in the LA fires
Donation protected
Hi, this is Carrie, sister of Susannah Mills. On Tuesday night (1/7/25) Susannah’s home in Altadena completely burned down in the Eaton fire, one of the ongoing fires sweeping through Los Angeles. We're all grateful she was able to get out safely.
Save for the clothes on her back, a few random items she grabbed as she fled, and her car, she has lost ALL of her possessions.
Not only has she lost her entire home, but the church where she had worked for many years also burned to the ground.
She’s also lost so much that is irreplaceable; family heirlooms, a lifetime of mementos, her journals, books, and — heartbreakingly — all of her artwork. As many of you know, she’s an incredibly talented artist and the loss of her art means years of dedication, creativity, and deeply personal expression is now gone.
We are looking to raise money to help her cover immediate needs as the crisis is ongoing, as well as to give her a start in the daunting task of rebuilding her life. She also went back to school and began a new practice as an End of Life Guide, working with people who are dying and helping pets cross over. This new instability adds challenges to this endeavor of service and the creation of her LLC.
Even if you cannot donate, please share this with friends and family. Your support in anyway means so much.
The emergency in LA is not over; until it is I'll post updates as relevant.
Thank you.
