Susan's Fire Recovery Fund

My name is Adriane, and Susan is one of my best and dearest friends. I met Susan at Cornell University. We became fast friends and we were inseparable during our 4 years at Cornell. Susan is like a sister to me.

Susan has made a great life for herself, first in Seattle, WA, and finally settled down in Los Angeles, CA. 14 years ago, she bought her home in Altadena, CA. It was a beautiful home with many trees and plants. Susan is a great proponent of our environment and grew native species to her area of CA. Also, she's into animal rescue, and at one point in time, she had 2 cats and 2 pit bull dogs. These pets have passed away, and she only has Louise, an elderly pit bull who has cancer and is in hospice care.

Unfortunately, Susan's house was located in the fire zone, and she has lost everything. I am so thankful she was able to safely evacuate with Louise and is currently living at a hotel in Pasadena. She has lost everything...her home, possessions, and all she has left is her great memories living in her lovely community of Altadena.
