Susan's Long Term Care Fund

In 2021, I celebrated my 89th birthday. In advance of my 90th birthday I’ve initiated a fundraiser for my daughter, Susan. As some of you may know, Susan was stricken with brain cancer, a Glioblastoma at the age of 21. After three brain surgeries, she made a remarkable recovery and is an amazing and resilient woman. Now at age 63 she is wheelchair bound, and she has required 24-hour care at home. The State of Illinois helps to pay for some of her care, but much of the expense comes out of my pocket. We are at the point, where I am paying significant weekly caregiver costs which has depleted my savings. My goal is for Susan to be able to continue to live in her own apartment for as long as possible where she has a better quality of life than she would in a nursing home. The out-of-pocket cost for Susan’s care is exorbitant.  If you are able to make a donation in any amount it will go directly to the cost of her care.  Any contribution you can make would be most appreciated.  Thanks for your generosity.
