Susan's Stroke Recovery
Two days after her 58th birthday, Susan experienced a debilitating stroke and was hospitalized. She spent several days in both the ICU and the intermediary unit at the hospital before doctors were able to fully assess the damage the stroke had done.
The majority of the damage the stroke caused was to the left side of her body and her ability to swallow. After a multitude of tests, a care plan was put in place to help her recover. She will need routine occupational and speech therapy to regain the strength in her left side and help her relearn to swallow.
Susan is in good spirits and working very hard to get to back to normal, but she has a long road ahead of her.
Please consider making a donation (and sharing this page) to help ease the stress of medical bills so she is able to focus solely on healing.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Susan's Family
