Susie Hobbs’s Funeral Fund

Donation protected
This fund is being solely used to pay for her funeral and cremation expenses. Once and if we hit our goal, we will shut this down as we do not want to profit from this. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and we will be so thankful as we go through this awful time.

On February 10, 2022 around 2am, the “world” lost an amazing person in my Grams. She was my Grandma, my Dad’s Mother, a Great Grandmother, and Aunt, a Sister, a Daughter, a Friend, and so much more. Most know her as Momma Hobbs. She was the loudest person at the ballpark (mostly her laugh), the first person to and the last to leave parties, the person who never missed any of our athletic events, someone who spoiled each and every kid in the family whether they were blood related or someone we just considered family, she was brutally honest, and most of all….she had a heart of gold. Family meant everything to her. Many of you know her because she accepted you as her family. She loved everyone that was willing to love her back. And you definitely felt that love.

Last night I got to sit in the hospital gathered by family. We loved on her, shared stories, laughed, cried, and prayed. It was beautiful And while we all rushed to be there from work, different cities, and states….she allowed us to all be there with her. She knew just how much we all loved her and she allowed for those beautiful memories to happen and for each and every one of us to leave before passing moments after we left to get rest. She wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. She didn’t want us to be in pain. No matter what the circumstance was, she always wanted the best for us.

I can’t tell you how much I respect both of my grandmas for putting together such a tight knit family. I’m going to truly miss my Grams. We would FaceTime every morning before work to allow her to see my daughter, who she called her Doll Baby. She helped to raise her early on and grew so close to her as she did with so many of us in the family. She didn’t just try to spoil us with worldly things, she spoiled us with time. And really that’s how I’ll remember her. She was always there for all of us.

I smile knowing that she is still spending time with us but in a much different way now. Instead of being there for us physically, she able to be there and help guide us spiritually. I know she’s with Jesus and so many of my family members who passed previously. I’m proud of who she was and how she helped to raise generations of tight knit family members. I’m proud to call her Grams. And I’m proud she passed peacefully as a woman of Christ. I will forever miss you and talk to you Grams. My heart hurts, but my spirit is happy that you found home. We will love you always and forever
