Hi, my name is Michael D. Davis-Thomas, and I’m fundraising for the Resilient Voices & Beyond podcast.
Background:
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, my childhood was spent in the state’s child welfare system—half in juvenile justice and the rest in foster care, aging out. Advocating since age 15, I have over a decade of professional child welfare experience. Navigating homelessness as a youth and adult, I currently pursue a double major in political science and law in society with a minor in public administration. Juggling school and various life aspects, I persist in building a stable foundation for myself and other youth and young adults impacted by our systems. Your support makes this journey meaningful.
Current Challenges:
Facing life's challenges and barriers , I am striving for stability in my businesses amid a job transition. Financial constraints endanger the Resilient Voices & Beyond podcast—beloved for its impactful work. Seeking support during this pivotal time, I aim to grow and build a stable future in meaningful endeavors.
Though I'm passionate about advocacy, the income hasn't arrived. I'm reaching out to my community, friends, family, and network to help me walk in my purpose and utilize my platform to assist others. Your support means the world.

Budget:
To sustain and enhance the podcast’s impact, we seek a two-year budget of $2000. This will cover subscriptions, quality equipment, marketing, behind-the-scenes support, and more.
Your Support Matters:
Your contribution will directly impact the Resilient Voices & Beyond podcast’s ability to continue providing a vital platform for marginalized voices. Together, let’s empower voices, challenge stigmas, and advocate for positive change in the child welfare system.
