Sustainable Bamboo Tree Project to Restore Kenya

My name is Tycho Dan, and I live in New York. I am acting as an agent for Simon Murungi, a farmer, an activist, and a peaceful warrior for his community and his country. Crowdfunding websites do not allow people in Kenya to set up campaigns, so I have agreed to act as a fiscal sponsor for this project as I believe it is brilliant.
From Simon: SOFAFRICA (spreading organic farming in Africa) is a Kenya-based organization engaging with local communities to promote Bamboo tree planting and organic farming methods.
With lumber and other Bamboo products, we will create a robust Bamboo economy that will enrich the lives of rural Kenyans, as well as improve environmental conditions in a lasting and sustainable way. Arid lands can become lush and green, retaining moisture for all life to thrive.
We will also be supporting entrepreneurship and providing education to maximize local management and control of their new resources. For just $2, a Bamboo tree can be planted that creates a healthier environment and brings joy to people for decades to come. Bamboo has a very rapid maturation process and yields many valuable products.
We believe this can be the start of a movement to regreen all of Africa and significantly combat global warming and climate change. Join us and we will make a difference for you, me, and future generations.
Thank you,
Simon
