Sustainable future of Dulwich Sports Ground

In the heart of Dulwich lies a haven for cricket enthusiasts – the Dulwich Sports Ground. Here, the passion for the sport intertwines with the spirit of community, creating a vibrant space where dreams are nurtured and victories celebrated. But behind the scenes, a dedicated team works tirelessly to maintain the grounds, ensuring that every pitch is primed for play.

The Southwark Community Sports Trust (SCST), has worked hard to support the local community since 2011, long before its registered charity status was awarded in 2022.

SCST is dedicated to providing affordable sports facilities for Southwark’s residents and promotes community cohesion, healthy living, and vital life skills like teamwork and discipline through accessible sports programs.

Your Opportunity to support health and wellbeing in the community
Our cricket facilities at Dulwich Sports Ground are at the heart of the local cricket community, hosting 479 matches this past summer. Both grass and artificial wickets have been utilized to support a wide range of people, including one of the largest junior sections in Southern England, with over 700 juniors actively participating. We proudly support over 120 women cricketers annually - there’s an inclusive, thriving environment at our grounds.

Sustaining the Cricket Pitch
To maintain the necessary playing conditions, we require a new electric pitch roller.
This essential equipment will ensure the upkeep of our pitches for the many local teams and schools that rely on our facilities.
Beyond improving the playing surface, the electric roller is a sustainable solution, aligning with our commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of the Sports Ground.
Adopting green technology reflects our dedication to both quality and sustainability. Each roll forward is a step toward a greener, more responsible future, setting a benchmark for environmentally conscious sports facility management.

Our offer to you
While we have secured a generous grant of £5,970 from the English Cricket Board, we still need to raise an additional £20,000 to purchase the electric roller and install the necessary EV charging point. Your donation or sponsorship will directly contribute to making this vision a reality, ensuring that we can maintain our cricket facilities for the community while embracing sustainable practices.

All donations are welcome, but for companies and corporates donating £2,000 or more, we would be proud to feature your company logo on the electric roller or inside our clubhouse, recognizing you as one of the key supporters and sponsors of SCST and Dulwich Sports Ground’s efforts.

With your help, we can continue to provide access to community-building sports facilities while making a positive impact on the environment.
Thank you for supporting SCST (Dulwich Sports Ground)!
