Sustainable Harvest COVID-19 Producer Relief Fund
Donation protected
Coffee producing communities need us.
We are establishing a relief fund to provide direct aid to farming families in producing countries that have been significantly impacted by the global health crisis.
In light of the immediate needs that producer groups are communicating, Sustainable Harvest will direct resources to fund the production of farmer “relief kits.”
These kits will contain:
-Staple foods such as pasta, tuna, rice, beans, tortillas, and grains.
-Personal protective equipment (PPE) for producers and essential workers.
-Cleaning supplies to sanitize households and workplaces.
Our goal is to raise funds and work closely with producer organizations, kits will be distributed by our producer partners, a reminder of the importance of strong institutions, like cooperatives.
Why now?
Timeliness is crucial, as we expect the number of families in need of aid will only continue to grow over the coming weeks if countries continue to tighten restrictions, and as they go into full harvest season.
Donate now!
We hope to rally the industry and we're asking everyone in a position to do so to contribute to the relief fund and help the most vulnerable in the supply chain.
Each Relief Kit has an average cost of $112.00 usd and will last a family of four an average of 4 weeks. Please consider there are different kit levels we can provide:
1 PPE kit for 1 family (mask and goggles)= $15.00 usd
1 Food Kit that will last a family 2 weeks = $37.00 usd
1 Food Kit that will last a family 4 weeks = $74.00 usd
1 Food and Health Kit (PPE + Cleaning supplies) that will last a family 4 weeks= $112 usd
Every dollar counts and helps us provide support to our producer partners during this difficult times. If you are in a position in which you can't donate but wan't to support, please consider sharing on your social channels to help us reach more people.
Sincerely,
-The Sustainable Harvest team.
