Support Susu As She Beats Cancer

If you live in Schuylerville, you probably know Susan Squires. If you have a child between the ages of 7 and 37, she has probably cared for them, touched your family, or shared some of her delicious baked goods. 
Susan has always infused her community with her nurturing warmth, humor, and generous spirit. She never hesitates to help a child, friend or neighbor in need. It would never occur to her to ask for something in return, which is why we are asking for your help now, to support Susan in what will be a difficult few months. 

This summer Susan was diagnosed with stage one invasive ductal carcinoma, the most common form of breast cancer. On September 13th,  she will undergo a lumpectomy followed by 6 weeks of radiation.

We are uncertain of the exact recovery time, especially considering that a return to work for her means a return to physical labor. Fortunately, Susan's treatment will be covered by her insurance, but without other benefits or compensation. We are hoping to raise enough money to cover her biggest bills during this time (rent/car payments) so that she can focus on her recovery. If a monetary donation is not possible, a share of a link to our campaign on your social media will be equally valued and deeply appreciated.
