Help for the Curry family

As some of you already know, our dear friend, Todd Curry, has been experiencing some very serious health problems over the last couple of months. At this point, not all his diagnoses are known and more testing is being done to pinpoint the exact cause of the issues.

We do know, however, that his GI tract and liver are not functioning properly. All of this was discovered while he was in the hospital getting treated for broken ribs and a traumatic brain injury (TBI), which he sustained in January as a result of multiple falls during a migraine. Additionally, Todd has experienced two seizures in the last week due to the significant electrolyte imbalance these other conditions are causing.

During the last couple months, Todd’s mind was severely altered as a result of the TBI and even now as his personality and awareness have returned, he is left with significant short term memory loss.

Todd has been unable to work and will go back incrementally while his brain and body continue to heal. Todd is also unable to drive for quite a while, and Ally’s own health needs keep her from being able to do all that is required on her own. While Todd heals, she’ll continue to need support to work around his limitations.

So far there have been 5 visits to the ER, 2 ambulance rides, several doctor’s appointments, scans, and other tests with more to come as his doctors run down the diagnoses.

In addition to helping the Curry's pay for current and upcoming medical bills, they will also need to hire people to help Ally take care of the boys and make sure they can get to where they need to be throughout the week. For example, she homeschools the boys, but has needed to pay for tutoring for Wilson while she has been caring for Todd.

Todd doesn’t remember the last couple of months at all, but he’s holding onto things better now as he heals. Ally gets to tell him of all the ways people have helped throughout all this and they are both so grateful.

As they currently battle through some significant health insurance woes, they know that through it all, it is actually God protecting and providing for them in this time and trust that He will continue to do that.
