Suzanne's Breast Cancer Battle

Unfortunately 2020 has not been off to a great start. I have recently found out that my breast cancer has come back and is now in stage 4. The cancer has spread throughout the body in the liver and bones. I have been started on medications that will hopefully prolong my life but the prognosis looks poor.
Darren has gotten his okay to go back to work after the last 2 years fighting stage 4 melanoma but unfortunately because of the economy, he had to take a big decrease in pay and in hours. I have also needed to leave my job as a RN at the Stollery Hospital and start on short term disability. I appreciate that I have this available to me but it is also a big cut in income as well. This has caused a big financial strain.
I am asking for help from my family, friends and the kindness of strangers to help me and my family out financially during this hard time in our life. The funds will go towards bills, family outings to make some memories while I can, pre made meals for when I’m not feeling well, Cross Cancer parking and to save up for expenses when the inevitable happens.
Anything helps, big or small. I understand if you can not donate but please consider that you share this with your friends and family. I will keep everyone updated as best as I can.
Most importantly, to all the women out there, please remember to check your breasts once a month and let your doctor know about any changes that you may feel.
