Suzanne's journey abroad for cancer treatment

Hi, my name is John and I'd like to raise some money for my friend Suzanne Barry to enable her to travel abroad for cancer treatment that could be life saving. Suzanne's life changed in December 2022 when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer out of the blue. Since then she has been through a series of conventional treatments and a surgery, but the cancer has spread. These alternative treatments in Europe are not available in Ireland and can be used as a stand alone treatment for her or can be accessed in conjunction with conventional treatments. The recurrence free survival rate could jump from 35% to 80% when including these extra treatments abroad.

Suzanne has been an inspiration to her community during this last year or so, and has hosted events in her home for and with us and attended events wherever possible. She really has kept herself as well and positive as possible on this journey that was very unexpected. What I also know is that what she has learnt during this time will not be wasted as she is the type of person who will give back whatever she has learnt to those who need the help going forward and she definitely has been relentlessly researching and experimenting since the very beginning this journey all of which has kept her in a very "well" place despite her diagnosis.

The cost of the treatment is 1000 euro per day which does not include scans, accommodation or other extras and it is recommended that she attend the medical centre for at least 3 weeks on this occasion.

I am aware that Suzanne would find it difficult to accept the idea of receiving donations to help her but the treatment is going to be very expensive and I definitely think she deserves all the help she can get to return to a normal fulfilling life helping other people through yoga as she has done for many years of her life. If you feel drawn to donating to her cause it would be very much appreciated by both myself and definitely by Suzanne herself,
