Suzette Ramsey Miller

Hello. Our precious sister and daughter (and wife to Keith), Suzette Miller, was hospitalized with COVID-19 and double pneumonia both COVID pneumonia and bacterial pneumonia on Sunday evening, October 10th. On Tuesday, October 19th she was put into a medically-induced coma when a hole in her lung discovered and we were told the next 48 hour were critical. During that first 48 hours, there were several positive signs but today we had our first backward step which we were prepared for that possibility by the nurses.

 

Her husband also had serious COVID and has missed work and is slowly recovering. They were in the process of moving to be closer to her work at a special needs school when she was hospitalized and put into the coma, so she has not been able to even sign the necessary papers to complete that process. So Keith is having to make two mortgage payments until those papers can be signed.

 

She is nearing three weeks of hospitalization and even after she is brought out of the coma, the bills will be astronomical and she likely will have a very long road of recovery ahead. We are unsure when she would be able to return to work. Suzette has been an asthmatic her entire life so her lungs were particularly vulnerable to the damage of the COVID virus.
