Suzie Needs Our Help!

To everyone who loves Suzie, thank you for thinking of her and sending her the strength that she will need to recover.
Change happens, sometimes for good and not so good! This fund is to aid in assisting Susan Hickman de la Cruz on her fight back to health.
Last year, in the spring of 2022, Susan was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Then in August she received the the dreaded diagnoses of Breast Cancer.
Over the last year the battle has been overwhelming with numerous hospital stays and countless testing. Susan will start radiation in early June after months of chemotherapy. While being in treatment for cancer the rheumatoid arthritis has been a nagging painful issue. The treatment for the RA has to wait until all Cancer treatment has concluded.
Susan has continued working two jobs while receiving treatment - one as a longtime employee of CVS and the other working towards a career change working in the local school district with special needs students. Her needs have become overwhelming, which has unfortunately lead to take an extended leave of absence in order to focus on her healing.
Susan’s son, Quentin, is the most important and amazing person in her life. He is a caring, beautiful, sensitive young soul who has struggled during this time seeing his mom be sick from the chemo, losing her hair, recovering from a mastectomy, along with countless other challenges as she fights her fight. Susan’s partner, Matthew, has been very supportive by helping to care for her getting her to her many appointments. The family’s two cats, Panda and Oscar, have provided much needed comfort during this time as well.
So now, in her greatest hour of need, Susan comes to you, her friends, family, acquaintances and strangers alike, to humbly ask for financial support to help her with medical bills and basic living expenses. Even a small contribution will help lessen the burden of her financial stress so that she can focus on healing and continue with strength into the second year of this fight.
Thank you saying a prayer for her, sending healing vibes and sharing this post.
With heartfelt gratitude more than words can express,
