The Cantrell Family

We are seeking financial assistance to help with the funeral expenses of my dearest friend’s mother & father. This has been a heartbreaking & overwhelming year for her & her family.
On February 26, 2022, just 24 days after her 32nd birthday, she lost her mother, Linda Cantrell to an unclear illness. She was a retired nurse & dedicated her career to assisting the elderly by working in nursing homes as well as in-home hospice care.
Then on June 21, 2022, just two days after celebrating Father’s Day, she lost her father, Richard Cantrell to a pulmonary embolism. For those near & dear to her father, they called him Rick. He retired from Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, KY, where he worked on the Finishing Line. He loved old cars & completing projects around the house, including his latest endeavor of assisting Amelia landscape & update the patio & front porch of her home.
Together her parents loved antiquing, hunting for collectables, exploring our beautiful state & getting to watch their grandchildren grow.
Amelia & her fiancé, Ben just celebrated the 1st birthday of their daughter Stella Cameron Christian on May 18, 2022. They are also raising Ben’s sons (her amazing bonus children), Trenton (12) & Sonny (4).
Amelia’s parents were preceded in death by her brother, their son, Richard Cameron “Cam” Cantrell. In 2000 they lost him to a fatal car crash. Cam was only 18 years old & a senior at Scott County High School. Even though there were eight years between them in age, he was her role model & she looked up to him greatly. Amelia & Ben have even honored her late brother by sharing his name with their daughter. This is just one of the many ways she has been able to keep his memory close to her.
Amelia’s family has experienced so much devastation from loss. Today, she isn’t only burdened with figuring out how to maneuver through life without her brother, her mother & her father… She is also dealing with the financial burden of paying off her mother’s funeral expenses, which they incurred four months ago... along with the addition of her father’s. Unfortunately, Amelia’s parents were unprepared with their end of life planning. They had no Will or legal documentations set in place for her to get their affairs in order. She is now worried she may lose everything her father built for her family and is having to hire a lawyer to help her navigate all of this. She is truly devastated & would give anything to have them back. I know her heart has never healed from the loss of her brother 22 years ago & now with the loss of both of her parents, the possibility of healing seems even more impossible to her.
Although it won’t be easy, we know she is capable of persevering. We pray for her to find peace & to heal with time. We pray she will be able to cherish & celebrate the time she had with each of them. And we pray she may successfully manage her late parents’ estate with as little added hardships as possible.
Thank you for your time & consideration.
