Join the Sanford Veterans Association (SVA) and Vets to Vets United in making a difference in Veterans' lives! The SVA Spring Service Project is a semester-long fundraising effort to enrich the lives of veterans in the greater Durham area. This semester we are teaming up with Vets to Vets United, a local non-profit that provides veterans with service, therapy, and companion animals. Help us, help them, to help veterans!
Vets To Vets United, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit veteran service/animal rescue organization located in Durham NC. The Vets To Vets United, Inc. mission is to: Provide as many veterans as possible in need of companionship, service and love with service, therapeutic or companion animals. Reduce the high numbers of animals unnecessarily euthanized in the local shelters, who are also in desperate need of love and companionship. Provide services and training at no cost to the veteran.
The Sanford Veterans Association (SVA) is a student-veteran led organization that fosters a supportive community for active duty, national guard, reserve, retired, and separated service members at the Sanford School of Public Policy. The SVA supports prospective, current, and alumni members in admissions, academics, career development, and life in Durham. Culture, growth, and service guide our actions within our organization, the institutions of Sanford and Duke, and greater society.
