The news that our dear Abdoulaye has been battling ALS weighs heavily on us as we write this. After experiencing symptoms for about a year, we received the devastating news that his illness was incurable. His heroic wife, Maimouna, ultimately made the difficult decision to quit her job to become his full-time caretaker. He has been supported by his loved ones every step of the way as he battles this sickness, and now we're appealing to his whole community for assistance. We are raising funds for the extremely high cost of his medical care. It's reassuring to know that Abdoulaye has a community where he may reach out for help and receive support.
