On April 28, 2022, the Terry family received life-altering news...

Lindsay Terry has been a teacher at Delaware Trail in Brownsburg since 2001, the same year she married her high school sweetheart, Matthew Terry. Matt and Lindsay have three beautiful daughters together, and he is the absolute rock of the family. Matt was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Matt's lesion is classified as a T4B melanoma with ulceration that has spread to his lymph nodes. It had a depth of 7 mm, which in terms of melanoma, is considered very thick.

Matt has an excellent medical care team fighting with him and his family. He is being treated through Community North Cancer Center, which is connected with MD Anderson, and is the best place he can be for this melanoma diagnosis. Since April 28th, Matt has had biopsies on his lymph nodes, PET scans, a brain MRI, met with numerous doctors and specialists and began immunotherapy. Eventually, we hope that immunotherapy will shrink Matt’s tumors enough that he can have surgery to remove lymph nodes. Once that happens, he is facing the potential of multiple surgeries that will have lengthy recovery periods.

The Terry family needs our support to help with the medical expenses associated with Matt's care, including doctor visits, medications, treatments, and medical travel expenses.
