Help Megan Schellhorn Beat Breast Cancer

Donation protected

Saturday, July 10, 2021

In May, our precious friend, Megan Schellhorn, was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer at the age of 39. Megan and her family were devastated by this diagnosis, but she is determined to do everything she can to fight and to beat it so she can be there for her family. We want to help support her in this fight.

We’ve been best friends with Megan’s parents (Maggie and Jim Gintner) for thirty-five years, and Megan was just four years old when we first became friends. We have had the honor and the privilege to watch her grow up over the years from a sweet, smart, and beautiful little girl into the amazing woman she is today. She is kind, loving and compassionate, and truly one of the best people we have ever known. Seeing how Megan is facing this battle against cancer with deep faith and such a positive attitude is truly inspiring. Megan is so caring and loving in fulfilling all the roles of her life. She is a wonderful daughter to her parents, wife to her loving husband, Jonathan, and mom to her beautiful children, Riley, Samantha and Brynlee. She is an amazing sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, neighbor and friend. Megan is also a Hubbard High School teacher who is beloved by both her students and fellow teachers alike. Megan is treasured by all of her family and friends, and she shows up for the people in her life. We want to show up for her now when she needs the support of family and friends more than ever.

Megan and her family are asking for your prayers for strength during her months of treatment and for her to be completely healed and cured of cancer. During this battle, Megan is facing a year ahead of enduring chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions, a mastectomy, and radiation treatments. She will be traveling back and forth to Cleveland for her treatments and other appointments and will need to take significant medical leave from work during this time. We want Megan to be able to completely focus on getting through the treatment and not be overwhelmed with financial worries. So in addition to your prayers, we ask you to join us in raising funds to help defray the costs of medical, insurance and travel expenses which will be incurred during her journey to becoming healthy and cancer free once again.

Please help us to help Megan win her fight against breast cancer. Her battle is our battle! Please give whatever you can. Every little bit helps to support and bless Megan and her family

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
