Andors Stroke of Midnight

In the afternoon on December 31 he suffered a massive stroke. A scan revealed extensive damage to the right side of his brain. Despite this, Andor has a positive outlook and has referred to his New Year's Eve stroke as "the Stroke of Midnight." He is doing well and with his professional rehabilitation, his brain will have the best chance of forming new connections.

Andor has dedicated his life to serving his communities. Whether it was ski patrol in Whistler, tree planting, or working as a carpenter, he brings his skills and passion to every project.

In the past few years, Andor has faced a series of challenges that have affected his ability to work. We are reaching out to the communities that he has touched to ask for help in relieving some of the financial stress and hardship that he and Miranda are facing.

Andor suffered a hip injury while working on Blackcomb's ski patrol in 2018, which hindered his ability to work as a carpenter. In March 2021 he had his hip repaired. Andor then suffered his first stroke in November 2021. At that time, doctors discovered a large bloodclot in his heart and multiple clots in the lungs. In an attempt to determine their cause, a stage 2 cancer was detected in November 2022. This requires the removal of his prostate but fortunately has not spread to his bones.

He has made countless contributions to the festival community through his work in stage design, building and supporting others throughout North America. He is known for his 110% dedication, passion for finding solutions, and his amazing sense of humor. We hope those who know or suspect they have been impacted by Andor will consider giving back to support him during this difficult time.

Our goal is to raise enough funds to help Andor and Miranda cover their expenses and set themselves up for a brighter 2023. Any amount, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. We understand that these are difficult times for everyone, and we are grateful for any help you can provide.
