2nd Annual - 50 Mile - Hike to Help - Kensington
Kensington neighbors, John and Justin, began social distance walking almost every day to deal with the stresses of COVID-19 in 2020. These walks allowed them to discuss their small businesses, life, how to overcome daily challenges and their local Kensington community and the businesses that make it great. As they walked around Kensington noticing all of the small businesses that were either closed or being effected by COVID-19 they had an idea; Let's walk for a cause! Let's walk 50 miles in one day to help raise money for struggling businesses and their employees in our community. The Hike to Help - Kensington was born! Last year, they were able to raise nearly $7K and help many small businesses in Kensington. This year they are back at it! Training diligently, John and Justin will walk 50 miles on May 15th to again help raise money for struggling small businesses in Kensington.
All proceeds will go to businesses in Kensington. We will donate primarily to ones that rely heavily on foot traffic and have been affected by COVID-19. Every donation helps! $1 per mile, or whatever you can give. Let's help the businesses that help keep our community special.
