Help David Lacock w COVID Pneumonia Medical bills

To all who love & know David Lacock, Alison Chuang & their amazing family:

On June 30, 2021 David went to Makana Urgent care to test for COVID-19 as he was experiencing severe flu like symptoms. At this time his oxygen levels were tested and discovered to be dangerously low. He was then rushed to Wilcox Hospital where he received the best attention and care they can provide. After 6 days at Wilcox in the ICU his doctors and family made the decision to have David transferred via air ambulance to Straub hospital ICU on Oahu. On July 5th David was intubated and put on a ventilator due to COVID related pneumonia. 

The Lacock Ohana is heartbroken they cannot be with him at this time as they are at home taking care of each other and their very special, special needs daughter Rosie (26 years old) who needs 24/7 care. David has eight children ranging in ages from 10-41 years old. He has a lot to come home to. His wife Alison and their tribe of loving, amazing children miss their dad. David is a creative force, his paintings provide a glimpse into his imagination & awe for natural beauty as does his yearly harvest of organic sugarloaf pineapples.

Today, David has strong vital signs, promising blood work & a lot of people who love & cherish him. While he is under sedation to let his body & mind rest, let's come together to support him & his family during this unknown & unbelievable time. The funds we raise here for the family will be used to cover their incoming medical expenses including his ambulance from Makana to Wilcox, his 6 days at Wilcox, his air ambulance to Straub & everything that will come next.

As an example of their upcoming expected costs, the median cost for an air ambulance is over $10,000. The cost per day in the ICU while on ventilation is around $10,500 & an ambulance ride on Kaua'i averages over $2,000.
