Honoring Nothando Zulu

Donation protected
Our beloved sister, friend, and Master storyteller Nothando Zulu became an ancestor on September 11th 2023.

Nothando was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and activist who spent over 50 years sharing her time and telling amazing stories with communities across Minnesota the U.S. and the world. She and her husband Vusi started The Black Storyteller Alliance of Minnesota in 1976. September 28-30, 2023 marks the 33rd annual Master Black Story Tellers Alliance Festival. Nothando will be dearly missed.

We are calling on community to join us in financially supporting the Zulu family to honor Nothando who gave so much throughout her life.

All donations will go directly to the Zulu’s. Please share one of your favorite memories of Nothando in the comments.

Thank you!
