Swain Family Wife, Mother Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Wow! We never dreamt we would be here, creating a GoFundMe page, but here we are- that is how life is sometimes. News of an unexpected diagnosis can change the course of a life in seconds and that is exactly what occurred in our world- a completely unexpected diagnosis and now our lives are changing in so many ways. We are writing this to ask for much-needed help and support during this family’s trying times.

A little over a month ago, after a scare of pneumonia, our dear friend- Peggy Swain (Rudecki) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. In the beginning, there were talks of chemotherapy and prolonging her life, However, due to recent events, the prognosis has become more unknown. This unknown prognosis and outlook as of today is due to the aggressive progression and not starting any treatment as of yet. We are all devastated by this news and of course are in shock, however, life must and will go on. This led us to turn to GoFundMe needing and hoping for extended support! This assistance/fundraiser will provide all-around support towards Peggy’s care, her family’s continued monthly bills, continuing education and care for her young daughter, and eventually end-of-life plans so her family is properly prepared.

Peggy’s family is a small-knit, fairly private, and wholesome unit, and we are glad that Peggy was ok with us setting this page up for her- we feel she deserves the support! It is so heartbreaking that they, Peggy, her family, and friends are having to go through this, on top of all the other lemons life gives us all.
