Swank's Battle Against Colon Cancer
Donation protected
As most of you are aware, our dear friend Swank (how most of you know him) was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. He had not been feeling well for a couple of months and finally decided to go to the doctor to get checked out. After a couple of weeks of testing and many doctor’s visits, it was determined that Swank was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer.
He’s currently going through Immunotherapy treatments called Keytruda (thankfully, this was a viable option instead of chemotherapy), consisting of treatments every three weeks with iron and hydration in the weeks between. After four rounds of treatments, more tests were taken to determine if the cancer had shrunk enough in size. Unfortunately, Swank was told by his Oncologist to expect to continue treatments for approximately two years. He will meet with a surgical team to discuss his options for surgery in August.
At this time, Swank has not worked since the cancer diagnosis due to all of the testing, treatments, and side effects that make him unable to. You all know him as a fun, caring, loving, and supportive friend! I’m asking that we show him how loved he is by donating to help cover medical bills, time off from work, his sweet wife McKenna’s time off from work to help care for him after surgery, travel costs to and from treatments and just everyday living expenses.
We know Swank will kick cancer’s ass and be back to new in no time!
Thank you all for the support!
