The Swanson Family has been faced with another tough journey ahead. Last week, a golf ball sized tumor was found in the center of Tyler's brain. The diagnosis was cancer and he was moved to Children's Hopsital in Aurora to start chemo right away.
The prayer chain going is tremendous and we ask for continued prayers. Prayer is the greatest thing we can ask for through this journey.
Here is an update from Hannah on Friday:
"It feels like just yesterday we were writing "In the blink of an eye our lives are flipped upside down". Although I don't think we should have had to say that the first time here we are saying it once again. Today went from Tyler getting a biopsy on Monday to starting his first round of Chemo.
This morning we were given news that the location of the tumor along with the blood test with high results points to a germ cell tumor, specifically one commonly found in children. We were transferred down to Children's Hospital in Aurora and met with Neuro-oncology where they have doctors that have dealt with this type of cancer. We were told it is an aggressive cancer that responds well to aggressive treatment with high percentage of cure rate. Tyler has started his 1st of 6 rounds of chemo which will be followed by 6 weeks of radiation.
Our journey will be long and it will be anything but easy but with the odds in our favor and our amazing support system, Tyler will conquer this hurdle! We ask for continued prayer as we now know the treatment plan ahead of us. "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take a stand against the devil's schemes." Ephesians 6:10-11".
The faith and strength of the Swanson Family is incredible. Like Hannah said above, "it feels like just yesterday" that they were faced with Taya's scenario and we were posting Taya's GoFundMe page. We want to provide an opportunity for those that have asked to help the Swanson family through yet another hardship. Please do not feel obligated as they are so thankful for the generous support with Taya's journey. This journey has and will be physically, emotionally and financially challenging for their family yet again. Many trips will need to be taken down to the hospital for check-ups and treatments. Tyler's timeframe of when he will be able to return to work is unknown. If anyone is interested in sending cards to Tyler for encouragement or to support them in any other way here is their address:

Tyler finished his first round of chemo last night and seems to be doing as well as we could hope. They are looking to release him in the next day or two, with frequent follow ups needed this week and forward until the next round of chemo in a few weeks.
Please keep Tyler and the whole family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you in advance for the prayers and support!
