Swaysee Rankin

A 15 year old kid from Chicago.

Swaysee Rankin was a loving , overprotective, caring young man . Born & raised on the east side of chicago. A kid who just wanted to be outside & be with his mom and siblings. On September 4 2023 his short lived life was taken from him by someone he considered a friend , someone he considered a brother. Over a small argument and misunderstanding he was shot to death & driven to the hospital where he passed away right after his arrival . A kid that gave his clothes & shoes , a kid that made sure his mom fed his “Friends” , a kid that even tried to sleep on the back porch with friends who had nowhere to go just to make sure they wasn’t alone. Like any teenage boy he was outside with friends , near his home where he was shot more than once. He was shot just 2 years ago over mistaken identity. Right after he saved his friend life after she was shot . As the loving young man he was. He removed his shirt from his body & placed it on her wounda until the paramedics arrived, again to make sure his FRIEND was ok . He was still dealing with the trauma from that previous incident , mentally & physically but yet he pushed through & made sure he made family & friends proud by getting his 8th grade diploma. Excited to be in highschool but September 4th he was robbed of that excitement because of a simple argument & a gun being fired.

I am asking for any help & assistance in burying Swaysee Rankin . Any dollar will count & will be used for funeral cost . In my time of need I will like to say THANK YOU in advance to each & everyone of you guys. As I mourn my son I will still love to give him a proper funeral arrangement he deserves. Again thank you & no amount is too small.
