Aid Needed for Teacher's Healing Journey
Donation protected
On January 24, 2025, my life changed in a whirlwind health journey as I went to the emergency room at University Lakewood Hospital in Lees Summit, MO. I came straight from teaching that day, and all of a sudden by 5 pm that evening, I was receiving blood transfusions in 2 bags. I learned I had a hemoglobin of 5. Then I was on my way to a CAT scan and learned I had a mass. The team told me that the GI I needed to go to at University Truman by the next day via ambulance in the morning. Then started a 21-day journey with 7 MRIs, 6 CAT scans, and 8 EKGs. Abnormal 9.7 cm mass removal major surgery, rectal & colon removal with early stages of cancer & Coronary Care Unit over Super Bowl Weekend. 155 to 89 to 91 Sunday at 1 am they shared with matron leg reading (breakthrough answered prayer). Now I have 6 to 8 weeks recovery, heart monitor, rectal and colon cancer, 3 sets of doctor teams, doctor appointments, lift restrictions, and walkers. I am on an ongoing recovery journey. Please support in any way possible through ongoing needs during this time. Thank you and God bless.
