SWDP Abu Run Trail with Stone Arch Bridge

Tax deductible

The Southwest District Park (SWDP) trail crew of Tarheel Trailblazers is asking the mountain biking public for some fundraising help to complete an exciting new 1 mile intermediate xc loop in the park. The Abu Run Trail will feature the hilliest section of the park and include many features like logovers, berms, a gravity cavity, a new significant switchback climb and a hand built stone arch bridge which takes the rider under the arch and then later over the arch and into a large wooden berm. The stone arch will be one of a kind in the THTB network of trails and is being specifically built for mountain bike riders and foot traffic. Money will go towards building matetals like mortar, concrete, stone and wood. The fundraiser is being started in the middle of the arch bridge build so potential donors can see the actual arch as it takes shape.

Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising this money to benefit Tarheel Trailblazers, specificallty one of their more centrally located urban trails, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to the Tarheel Trailblazers Club and specifically the SWDP crew.
