Shea has had a dream for years. The same dream night after night. To be a mother. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Shea and her husband hit many walls in attempts to start a family. Two miscarriages (one of them twins) had them completely defeated. Then came that miracle. A positive test followed by sonograms and month after month of a tiny angel that continued to grow! Sweet baby Adelaide changed it all. Shea couldn't wait to meet this precious girl and was counting down the days.
3 months later came the storm. Shea returned home from work to an empty house and a note. "This isn't about you....it's about me....I won't be answering calls or texts". It took 220 days for her to hear from her husband. All she had while waiting was the only allowed contact he gave her, talking to his new girlfriend. The explanations still aren't clear and the confusion and pain seem endless. This man has since taken Shea's car, demanded he not be contacted and refused any financial help.
Shea is a talented hair stylist and an exceptional mother. This warrior instantly began to plan on how to take care of her and Adelaide alone but the fight has just begun. After attempts to settle with her husband outside of court and after giving him everything, the demands keep coming and these precious girls need help. Even her offers for Adelaide to meet her father have been refused. Getting to work is a struggle since he took the car and baby expenses keep growing. It's become clear that Shea needs a lawyer that will fight for her and Adelaide.
