Sweet baby Ivy, Our angel now.

Sweet baby Ivy Brielle Bowden was born to Heather and Shamarr Bowden on 9/29/2019 at 1:51am weighing 7lbs 5ozs.  Beautiful, happy and Healthy, but most importantly LOVED by so many! Ivy was born with ‘Pierre Robin Sequence’ .. it is not a genetic syndrome but it happened  when she was a little tadpole in her mommy’s tummy her chin was tucked which caused her jaw to not grow out like it should, which also caused Her to have a cleft palate. The cleft palate wasn’t able to close on its own so on Tuesday 10/22/2019 a surgery was done to extend her jaw out so she could breath & eat better.  

A note from mommy; My baby’s life was not in danger ever. She was healthy, but her body did not withstand the surgery & she died within 24 hours
after the doctors tried to save her life for 5 hours...... her blood pressure and blood oxygen were so low that they weren’t pumping enough blood to organs, her heart started to fail, they did chest
compressions to resuscitate her heart twice.
But the last time they couldn’t bring her back.

Baby Ivy passed away on 10/23/2019 with mom and dad by her side. At this time mom and dad are devastated after spending almost a month with her everyday in the NICU and to have to leave empty handed with nothing but medical expenses and an unexpected funeral. I’m setting this up in hopes to allow them time to grieve and not have to worry about their next move. As any parent should never have to go through such a tragedy. If you aren’t able to donate please find it in your hearts to pray for the healing of this family as they have a long road  ahead of them. All proceeds will go directly to Heather and Shamarr.
