Donations for CiCi’s Liver Surgery

Our sweet baby CiCi is our 3yr old 2pound yorkie that has a chance to live a long, happy and healthy life after having life saving liver shunt surgery.

She had a seizure 2weeks ago and we almost lost her. Something she’s never experienced before and I never want her going through again.

It started out with excessive drooling, temporary blindness bumping into walls, falling over, aimless wandering, mental confusion and then seizure becoming unresponsive.

Almost $900 later after having labs drawn, medications, special diet foods and the following day a bile acid test done, we were being referred to a specialist for her liver shunt diagnosis.

After primary dr visit through waiting for scheduled specialist appointment, CiCi’s health started declining quickly in fear she might not make it that long (7 days).

Thankfully Specialist appointment happened yesterday, another $240, and was informed she was in no condition to have ultrasound that day and would need to stabilize her first. Now having to do ultrasound on day of surgery. Being sent home on a stricter prescribed diet, and 3 medications multiple times a day for 30 days. Together these meds are expecting to get her health where it needs to be for surgery to happen by lowering her ammonia levels and eliminating all toxin buildup that couldn’t filter properly or bypassed her little liver going directly to her bloodstream eventually affecting her brain.

Now after 1 1/2 days of giving meds she’s made so much improvement. Proud mommy moment!

Dr highly expects a positive outcome after Cici’s surgery that’s scheduled 10/1/23.

Our estimated cost for everything including

post-op hospitalization stay is $7500-$8500.

While we can pay for some of it, we can't come up with all of it in a month. Pushing surgery back to have more time for saving will not only make her suffer longer but puts losing her altogether at risk. Cici has been my 9 year old daughter and my support/rock helping cope with the loss of my dad (her popo) to a motorcycle accident and now she’s needing us as her support system.
