Sweet Ella's battle with unknown seizure disorder

Dear family and friends,

Our sweet Ella needs your help. Since leaving Salem, NY for her freshman year at the University of Montana, Ella has been experiencing severe seizures. These started out as simple fainting episodes that doctors in NY couldn't diagnose. Now Ella is so far from home and her situation has escalated in a way that no one could've predicted.

Anyone who knows Ella could vouch for how charismatic she is. She is a very active, motivated, compassionate young woman who came out of her shell after discovering her love of/ talent for photography in high school. Not only was she active in sports and theatre, but she would go out of her way to get great photos of her friends and anyone else who wanted them. It wasn't long before she was photographing all of the sporting events and plays at her school as well as other games, dirt bike races and events in the surrounding area. Now she is following her dream by pursuing a degree in photojournalism with an emphasis on sports photography at the University of Montana.

Medical bills are beginning to pile up as Ella and her family try to get answers. She's had over seven severe episodes and is currently in the hospital undergoing tests and treatments as they try to find a medicine that will work for her. There are still countless specialists to see and the possibility of a service dog. Her parents want to be able to stay by her side through all of this, which also adds travel expenses. Our goal is for Ella to get answers and the right treatment so that she can live a happy and healthy life moving forward.
