Our beautiful ZoeJane was a light to all those that new her.
Diagnosed with DIPG Brain Cancer at 7 years old she was given a 6 month to one year life expectancy. But Zoe was rare. Rare in her diagnosis, her journey and her heart. She overcame the odds and fought bravely for more than 5 years.
During that time she had so many beautiful experiences. At 13 she wanted to be Mrs. Harry Styles and a makeup artist, she loved children and hoped to be a mother and have a family. She loved to taunt her brothers and was full of fire and sass. She fought to the very end, still teasing her Dad in her final hours.
She loved life, loved to dance and sing, and loved to experience new places and meet new people, and loved loved her Amazon shopping list.
Her legacy is one of hope. A future where kids are not given a timeline of survival but instead can have hope for a cure. As a final act of hope and love Zoe has donated her tumor to further research towards this goal.
We won't stop fighting for her and all of the DIPG families. Her work on earth is now done, we know she will continue the fight along side us from her new heavenly home.
The devastation cancer brings a family is physical, emotional, and financial.
We are seeking to raise money to put Zoe to rest the way she deserves, and to help her family as they move into the next steps of this journey. The financial burden of navigating cancer has been a devastation in itself and we hope to ease some of the burden.
We want to acknowledge and thank the SweetZoeJane community and those that have loved and supported Zoe and her family throughout this journey. Through these years her family grew to include so many of you and we are grateful for your love and care of our Sweet beautiful ZoeJane.
