HURRICANE IAN SOS FUNDS
Donation protected
Hi everyone ,
As many of you know, Annabel & Camia put together an amazing charity drive back when Hurricane Irma came and destroyed all neighboring cities around Naples, Florida. With the help of friends, family, local businesses, and donors from all over the state we were able to help countless families in the lower income areas that were left in devastating conditions. We had a nonprofit back then, very small but we only used it to assist for the one hurricane and with life, we had more kids , businesses, no more natural disaster happened for years and so we let our nonprofit go.
With the severity of this past hurricane Ian actually destroying much of our home town and affecting our own friends and family we have decided that this is something that the community needs to have year after year regardless to be prepared for when they come knocking at our door again. We have more family and friends on board this time around ready to help.
Hundreds if not thousands of people have lost their homes … cars .. family members… belongings… everything you can imagine. Luckily this hurricane did not leave us with floods for days like before so we can get to work NOW! All hands on deck !
❤️ We are calling to all community leaders to step forward and help us help our neighbors and friends. Help us rebuild our community ! After all, we are only as strong as our weakest civilian.
Why is it important to support local SOS GROUPS like ours?
❤️1. While any and all donations are a gift and are appreciated beyond words, when you donate to a private individual group, like CDR (us), you are giving directly to the community when it is needed. Skipping the red tape, the downtime, the application process and the processing of funds. This option is the most productive and your hard earned dollars and gifts are going to good use right NOW. If you are blessed and fortunate enough to have never lived through a disaster of this magnitude, then you may not know that when you donate to larger organizations like FEMA or Florida disaster relief fund that money and assistance is not going to get to the people who need it in real time. That money must go through a process and that individual must apply and then await a response before receiving any funds or assistance, it’s one process and one waiting period after another. By donating to these type of go fund me’s and private/individual groups you get money and assistance into the hands of those who need it NOW! CDR is tax deductible as a filed non profit organization and tax info is provided with every donation. Please act now, because all we have is today, as we have seen, tomorrow is not promised.
❤️ . 2. The last hurricane we were blessed to help out on we learned that hundreds if not thousands of affected people including many being immigrants are scared of government organizations in fear that they might be split from their families. So they choose to suffer in silence. Setting aside all political and geographical differences, at the end of the day all of these victims are people just like us. This could have easily been us - but it wasn’t. Today them - tomorrow us.
TOGETHER WE CAN REBUILD SWFL BACK BETTER AND STRONGER TOGETHER!!
