In March of 2019, my great friend and his family lost their loved one, Scott Mayo. Scotty excelled in all parts of life, especially as a father to three children, being a loving husband, and as a grandfather to a beautiful little boy. Well loved by every person that was in his life, his big smile and even bigger heart will never be forgotten. Scott was a big part of my life as I grew up with his son and my close friend Sean. He coached us in pop warner football and always took care of me as if I was his own son. 

To honor Scott's life and the rest of the Mayo family, I am going to dedicate my Ironman Lake Placid race on July 28th in his memory. Along with the 140.6 mile race, I would love to support his family by raising money for the "Mayo Grandchildren Fund". 100% of the donations will go to this fund and the grandchildren who would be absolutely adored by their grandfather.
